Promo Forest (“the App”) provides discount creation and management functionality for Shopify merchants using Shopify Discount Functions.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when merchants install and use the App.

1. Information We Collect

To provide app functionality, the App may access and store limited store-related information through Shopify APIs, including:

  • Shop domain and store information
  • Discount configurations created within the app
  • Selected products or product variants for discounts
  • App permissions and Shopify access tokens

The App does not collect or store customer payment information.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used only for operating the App, including:

  • Creating and managing Shopify discounts
  • Saving merchant discount configurations
  • Providing app functionality and support
  • Improving app performance and reliability

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share merchant data with third parties except when required to comply with legal obligations or Shopify platform requirements.

4. Data Retention

Store data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services.

When the App is uninstalled, related store data may be deleted within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.

5. GDPR & Shopify Compliance

The App complies with Shopify’s API Terms and GDPR webhook requirements.

GDPR-related requests, including customer data requests, customer redaction requests, and shop data deletion requests, are handled through Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks.

6. Data Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect store information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.

Merchants may request access, correction, or deletion of their store-related data by contacting us.
